CO’LAAB was born from a simple idea: to create a space where music, craftsmanship, and community truly meet.
Our roots come from decades of passion for Black Music culture — from jazz, soul, and funk to the foundations of hip-hop, R&B and house — and from a deep respect for the craft that keeps this culture alive: DJing.

Before opening our doors, CO’LAAB existed as an idea shaped by years inside music studios, events, record shops and creative communities.
We spent years collecting vinyl, learning from DJs, studying sound systems, and understanding how music can connect people in a meaningful way.
That experience shaped our vision: a place that celebrates culture not through nostalgia, but through respect — to the artists, to the history, to the craft.

Today, CO’LAAB stands as the first concept store in Barcelona that blends specialty coffee, curated vinyl, and creative community.
Every record in our selection honours the legacy of Black Music. Every cup of coffee is a moment to slow down, listen, and connect.
Our space functions as a meeting point for DJs, artists, producers and music lovers — a place where great sound matters and where culture is lived, not marketed.

Our vision is to build a cultural hub that grows beyond our walls.
We’re developing DJ workshops, vinyl listening sessions, community events, and collaborations with brands that share our respect for heritage and innovation.
We want CO’LAAB to become a reference for urban music culture in Spain — a home for creatives, a space for education, and a living showroom where music equipment, craftsmanship and culture intersect.
