From 20–23 May 2026, the Brighton Music Conference (BMC) returns to the UK seaside city for four days of talks, workshops and industry exchange. Now in its 13th year, BMC has become one of the key meeting points for electronic music culture in the UK, bringing together DJs, artists, educators, labels, promoters and technology brands.

About Brighton Music Conference

Brighton Music Conference takes place across multiple venues along Brighton’s seafront and is structured around four programme areas:

Technics Brighton Music Conference 2026

TECHNICS WORKSHOP – Friday, 23 May 2026 – 2:00 PM

Technics x Vinyl Bitch X MADDØG

Location: PLAYERS, 171-181, Brighton, Brighton BN1 1NB

As part of the official BMC workshop schedule, Technics is supporting a dedicated turntable workshop on Friday afternoon.
Learn your way around the old wheels of steel with Vinyl Bitch. The one-hour session is hosted by Madison True (Vinyl Bitch / MADDØG) and focuses on core turntable techniques used in vinyl DJ performance.

The workshop covers:

  • Beatmatching
  • Cueing
  • Looping
  • Scratching
  • Turntable setup
  • Troubleshooting

The workshop programme is hosted at Players, in collaboration with pointblank Music School, and focuses on practical, real-world knowledge for DJs and producers.

To keep the learning experience focused and practical, hands-on participation is limited. All demonstrations are projected on screen, allowing attendees to closely follow techniques and workflows.

Technics Brighton Music Conference 2026

Vinyl Panel: Making Records – Friday, 22 May – 3:00 PM

Location: QUATERS 187-193 Kings Rd, Brighton, Brighton BN1 1NB

In addition to the workshop, Technics will take part in a dedicated panel discussion exploring how records are made and how vinyl continues to evolve today.

The panel examines the full lifecycle of a vinyl release, covering every stage from mastering and cutting through to pressing, playback and DJ use. It also addresses the environmental impact of vinyl production, including emerging approaches such as more sustainable, plant-based vinyl compounds.

The session brings together voices from across the vinyl ecosystem — including pressing experts, record specialists, DJs and turntable manufacturers — offering insight into both the craft and the future of physical music.

Moderator: Marc Carey (Evovinyl)

Panelists:

Kevin da Costa (Brighton Vinyl)

Lawrie Dunster (Curve Pusher)

Lucy Johnson (PROCESS)

Madison True (Vinyl Bitch / MADDØG)

Stefanie Baron (Technics)

From hands-on skill development to in-depth discussion around vinyl production, Brighton Music Conference provides a space to learn, exchange and connect with the wider DJ and music community.

Technics looks forward to being part of BMC 2026 and welcoming DJs to both the workshop and vinyl panel.
